Dunmoor Addition

The project entailed a two-story addition to the existing house, with a primary focus on the rear area. We opened up the entire back section of the house, creating a spacious and inviting environment, which included incorporating a larger kitchen and family room area on the first floor. Some highlights of the kitchen include twin casement-style windows ganged together to make a window wall, allowing ample sunlight to flood the space. Above these windows, we installed elegant wall sconces, adding a sophisticated touch to the kitchen ambiance.

The spacious island, complete with a below-the-counter microwave and abundant countertop space, serves multiple functions, including cooking, seating, dining, and entertaining guests. Additionally, the kitchen boasts quartz countertops that harmonize with the backsplash and top-of-the-line appliances. A coffee bar was also incorporated into the dining area, featuring ample cabinet space and glass doors for added elegance.

In the family room, we installed a stunning stone fireplace that serves as the focal point of the space. The introduction of new hardwood flooring further elevated the atmosphere and seamlessly tied together the newly constructed renovations.

Furthermore, we doubled the size of the basement, transforming it into a substantial office and lounging area seamlessly integrated with the new addition. The home office, conveniently located on the first floor, features double glass doors that provide an enjoyable view of the rear yard.

To enhance outdoor living, we constructed a generous flagstone patio extending from the rear of the house, offering a picturesque space for relaxation and entertainment. A meticulously designed walkway connects the patio to the front of the house, ensuring easy access and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the property. This comprehensive project not only expanded the functional space of the home but also significantly increased its overall value and livability for the homeowners.
