This Olney homeowner wanted more than a bigger kitchen — they wanted the back of their house to actually work for how they live. We removed the rear wall and added roughly 300 square feet, giving the home a new kitchen, family room, and outdoor deck where there used to be a cramped back room.
The kitchen was built around white Shiloh cabinetry with a mix of knobs and pulls, quartz countertops, and a tile backsplash with silver fixtures. The dining area includes a wet bar with cabinet storage and a built-in wine cooler. Hardwood floors run through the entire addition, tying the spaces together cleanly.
The family room centers on a stone fireplace — the kind of feature that makes a new addition feel like it's always been there. Off the side of the addition, a composite deck extends the living space outdoors for dining and entertaining.
As a result, the space for transformed into the environment that is perfectly suited for modern living and cherished moments with family and friends.
